Collection Agencies and the New Obligation to Obtain a CNB License
According to the new Act on the Non-Performing Loans Market, collection agencies managing non-performing bank loans will now be required to obtain a license from the Czech National Bank for non-performing loans managers.
Licence for Non-Performing Loan Managers
The Chamber of Deputies approved the new Act on the Non-Performing Loans Market, which transposes Directive (EU) 2021/2167 of the European Parliament and of the Council on credit managers and credit dealers. The Czech National Bank has already published a draft implementing decree to this Act.

In February 2024, the Czech National Bank issued an opinion on the regulation of “crowdfunding” internet platforms, which operate on the principle of participation agreements.
