Expanze OPTAK - Interest-Free Loan of up to CZK 120 Million for Family Businesses

The National Development Bank has launched the Expanze OPTAK program, under which it is possible to obtain an interest-free loan ranging from CZK 500,000 up to CZK 120 million, covering up to 50% of project expenses. The repayment period can be up to 15 years, with a repayment deferral of up to 4 years.

Family businesses can also receive a financial contribution of up to 10% of the loan amount, up to a maximum of CZK 5 million, in the form of forgiveness of the final principal repayments.

What is Expanze OPTAK?

Expanze OPTAK is a program of the National Development Bank aimed at supporting investments by sole traders and small and medium-sized enterprises. It enables them to obtain an interest-free loan with no fees for the development, modernization, or expansion of their business.

The program now introduces preferential conditions for family businesses, which may obtain not only a higher loan with a longer repayment period and repayment deferral, but also a financial contribution in the form of forgiveness of part of the loan principal.

Who is the program intended for?

Sole traders and small and medium-sized enterprises that meet the program conditions may apply. Preferential conditions are available to family businesses, meaning companies or sole proprietorships in which members of one family have a decisive influence over ownership and management, and at least two family members are actively involved in the business.

What can the loan be used for?

The loan may be used for investment expenses, in particular for the purchase of machinery, technology and equipment, the purchase, construction or modernization of buildings, software, licenses, and other investments in business development.

From when and how can applications be submitted?

Applications for a loan with a financial contribution may be submitted from 15 June 2026 through the electronic filing office of the National Development Bank.
